Tourism promotion : China, Taiwan, Korea and Israel

Suppose you’re heading the tourism promotion team for your country, say China, Taiwan, Korea or Israel, and you have total control and no money constraints, what would you focus on?
Last week, I talked with two Chinese who visited Israel and were extremely surprised  with what they saw here. Putting it nicely, they were expecting a desert wasteland with religious people riding camels and shooting each other. We got into a discussion of how Israel is promoted in China and how China is promoted world wide, and it was interesting to see what each of us wanted to focus on.

Any plans for the Chinese new year?

Where will you be spending your Chinese new year? Hopefully, you get a chance to actually have Chinese new years in China/Taiwan.
 
Me? Being still very far away from Asia, I found out I have 3 options, which all sound great:

The Chinese loving Israelis from the "China culture and language" are meeting up. Details here.
The Chinese embassy is holding a formal Chinese new year celebration at the Chinese embassy.
The Tiawanese are having a get-together on Chinese new year for the Taiwanese staying in Israel.

Donno, a tough one. I will probably head to meet the other Israelis, and maybe drop by either the Taiwan/China office/embassy on the way there. …

A Taiwanese Blog on Israel

Israeli blogs about Chinese culture and life in China/Taiwan are hard to find, yet what’s even harder to find is a Chinese/Taiwanese blog about Israeli culture and life in Israel. Up till a week ago I haven’t been able to find any blogs at all, and writing an Israeli perspective blog about China/Taiwan I’ve always wondered what such a blog would be like. But ,at last, I’m happy to announce that I finally found one.
