Hey Fili,

Yes, Ortakoy is a great place to relax and enjoy the Bospherous. One of my favorite places in Istanbul, well Ortakoy and Taksim. Actually we never went into the Mosque in Ortakoy, not sure why, but we walked around the market and the food stalls there and had a great time. It is a beautiful place, especially at night when the lights are on.

The other place I liked there was Dolmabahçe Palace. It was much better than Topkapi in my opinion. Damn, I miss Istanbul. Hope I can go back soon.

Thanks for the interesting Post.
Paul

Hi there --

Visited Istanbul back in 2003 -- and yes, Ortakoy was a highlight. The whole area as well as the mosque. :)
