What are your favorite hotels in Asia?

I would rather call it “most expensive accommodation in Asia” i don't understand why pay 10 times for for a night , i you can pay for a comfortable room much less.
Beside the atmosphere in backpackers guest house is much better even if their standard are not so good as this hotel that you mentioned.
but anyway there are many people who are willing to pay let ask them why!

Niztan – I could understand where you're coming from, although to that I can only say that the higher you go in the social class ladder, the more you expect of your accommodation. The 400-500US$ a night isn't much for an increasing percentage of the population, especially as they aim to escape the hardships of their everyday life routines. Think more in terms of where you'd like to take your wife for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
And… if you're lucky, some tours and off-season promotions can get some of those down to 150-200US$. A bargain! :)

I think it is all very interesting. If it is not very expensive with all the best because we're finding good locations. For the rest of the trip with our family.

Very nice hotels, and I also agree the prices are fairly reasonable.

I had the chance to stay in the Mandarin Oriental in London and I have to admit it is by far one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed. Everything was perfect. I couldn’t find anything to complain even if I struggled the whole day. There is no wondering the Mandarin Oriental is the best among the Bangkok hotels. It must be the same all over the world.
