I’ve been to Chinese University of Hong Kong, I study in Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, but up till two weeks ago, I haven’t really seen Hong Kong University. A friend studying at the Hong Kong University Medical College invited me for a tour of the area.

So, you tell me, how would you like to have this as a view from your research room?

Looks nice, eh? now, how would you like to have these –in- your research room?

Yep, rats and mice. Lots of them. When I was visiting three of them actually got away and a few of the students were running around trying to catch them. Whatever they’re feeding these rats, it’s working, they’ve managed to escape the clever med-school students for over an hour.

Anyways, I had no idea Hong Kong University also enjoys spectacular scenery. It’s on Hong Kong Island facing the west, but still manages to maintain a balanced combination of nature and urban life.

BTW – Before heading to the med-college, we had a Japanese lunch at CWB (2 people ~250HK$). A colorful delicious meal …
