A few minutes walk from Senado Square in central Macau are the magnificent ruins of St. Paul’s Cathedral (Ruínas de São Paulo, 大三巴牌坊). Built around 1600, it’s been said to be among the biggest one in Asia during the time. Unfortunately, it was burnt down later on, but then restored and is now a UNESCO heritage site.
