The Guangzhou Chimelong Paradise Amusement Park is, as of 2009, China’s biggest wildest amusement park, and that’s saying alot. A local friend invited me for a day of fun and play and it was absolutely terrific!
(post includes a few videos, those from Blip.TV are mine, those from Youtube are from other visitors to the park that I think are terrific)
The amusement park is gigantic and hosts some of the scariest rollercoaster attractions I’ve seen anywhere.
Once you enter the "Screaming Zone"…
and get past the kiddies stuff…
it gets a whole lot more exciting…
There are also a few running shows that are worth visiting. Here’s a bit from the Lumberjack show that actually turned out to be quite entertaining.
Chimelong Paradise has a few other grand attractions, like a Safari Zoo, a huge-scale Water Park, an acrobat circus that runs a show every night at 7:30pm and much more. Hopefully, will get to that in future visits.

Hi Fili
You know I love it where I am (geographically), but if there is one thing that makes me wanna get on an airplane and visit, are those crazy roller coasters.
They just seem so much fun. Are you riding or just filming?

Eyal – Heh. :D Definitely riding. Terrific fun. We don’t get anything quite like that in Israel, do we?

mcjayjay – amusement parks are always packed, but going on a weekday you should be okay. Assume about 10-20 minutes wait for each of the wild rides… :P

Carrie – :P Well, due to some previous incidents, I try to protect my friends’ identities. Not all of them feel comfortable with being celebrities on my blog.
I kind of had the feeling you were going to say something about Universal Studies ^_^ (“Grass is always greener on …”)

Hey! I went there to this summer during my visit in China! The best amusement park I’ve been to by far! It really is awesome! Were you able to ride all the rides? The Inversion Coaster was awesome but I thought the Dive Coaster was alot better. Were you able to ride the U-Turn? Did you watch the Danger Island one live action act? The lumberjack one didn’t seem as entertaining though…anyways I was wondering in the 3rd picture taken with the statue, is it a real statue or a person acting as a statue? xD
Fili | August 10th, 2009 at 1:23 pm #
Sherry – a person acting as a statue. It is a really nice amusement park, I’ve been to most of the rides. :)
