image3 Taiwans Beauty : Top Most Beautiful Taiwanese Girls taiwanese pop culture It’s embarrassing, really. Innocent posts like "Chinese girls are the most beautiful girls in the world” – Israeli music", "China : Sex, Pride and a bit about Israel“, "China : The right to have sex“, and “Is Chinabounder’s "Sex and Shanghai” back?!” drive massive traffic of search engine visitors to this blog as they’re looking for all kinds of strange keywords associated with girls, mainly Chinese or from China. A while ago, I wrote "China’s Top 5 Most Beautiful Girls" as a response, and that post has quickly become the number 1 traffic source and the most commented post on this blog (now with more than 100 comments).  If you look at the top keywords for this blog, it gets abit awkward with "chinese girls", "china girls", "hot chinese girls", "張靜初", "israel girls", "most beautiful girl in the world", "beautiful chinese girls", "hot chinese girl", "most beautiful girls", "taiwanese girls" topping the keywords list.  As the number of posts I actually have on girls or on sex is very low and probably has nothing to do with what they might be looking for, I believe most of those visitors are quickly disappointed and leave.

When Problogger’s Darren asked, yet again, for a list of something, I thought it would be a good point in time to balance some of the wrong I felt I might have done not having a "China’s Top 5 Most Beautiful Girls" for Taiwan with a list of beautiful Taiwanese girls, which would also – maybe – give over 40% of my search engine traffic some of what they might be looking for.

Disclaimer – Now, a word of warning, I’m not Taiwanese, I’m a foreigner who is familiar with Taiwan pop culture to a very limited extent. I’m also not always familiar with the stories or scandals associated with some of those girls, and I might be a bit biased in my perception of beauty. There is no particular order to this list, and I know I’ve left out some gorgeous beauties. Would be glad to get your list of the best of Taiwan beauty, though.

There's no doubt about it. People love lists. Most of the popular posts on my site are also lists. I feel a little silly commenting on a list of beautiful women, but I have to admit that this appeals to me because I don't know all that much about Taiwanese celebrities. There's no doubt about it though, these girls are classy and elegant. Great choices, Fili. Thanks for opening up my world a bit. For the record, I really like Annie Yi. She's simply divine!

Carrie (the 1st) – Thanks, that's nice to hear. I was actually worried about my female friends/readers with this one.

Since you're as passionate about Taiwan and Taiwanese culture as I am, I strongly recommend watching Taiwanese movies, especially from the last 2 years.
Kwai Lun-Mei, for example, is one of my favorite Taiwanese movie actresses, and she had some good movies recently (Secret – http://www.taiwanderful.net/taiwanmovie/secret, Most Distant Course – http://www.taiwanderful.net/taiwanmovie/most-dist… etc.).
Lin Chi Ling in Ref Cliff (赤壁) 1 and 2 is an absolute must, even though more about Chinese history (the Chinese Gandalf semi-God – Zhuge Liang).
The others, like Rainie Yang, I mostly know by watching TV and trying to make out the Chinese.

      They are gorgeous.

    Ha!!
Which one do you think is the best looking girl in your list?
Can't agree more. People love reading post related to pretty women. To be honest, these posts attract me a lot, too. :)

    • http://www.intensedebate.com/people/filination Fili An

Carrie (China) – they're all a bit different. Lin Chi Ling and Bianca Baiis are more classic beauty, while Kwai Lun-Mei is more special than beautiful and Rainie Yang is just incredibly sweet. I agree with the previous Carrie that Annie Yi is heavenly (together with Chang Chun-ning). :)

What do you think? which ones do you like?

(Great to see you comment here again! :D )

Hehe, they said “women and men view beauty in different way” and “people from different country have various standard of beauty”. I do agree~ :P

Personally I would choose Lin Chi Ling, only in terms of her appearance. I believe you have watch the <secret> presented by Kwai Lun-Mei. Have you noticed the other girl who likes Jay? I think she’s prettier.

Hehe, more and more pretty stars these days, can’t really choose the one which I can list as No.1.

I have tried to comment on your blogs several times, but the website died before I can actually leave something on it. Hopefully your blog would be open more easily one day soon. ^_^

Carrie – you need to give me an update on the latest from the Chinese cinema and the new hot pop stars. I'm a bit behind, and I can't keep up with it all. Here in HK, it's pretty much all HK centered (with the occasional visits from Japan and Taiwan).
Next time you have some trouble with the blog, please email me and let me know. I'll then try and get my magical tech charm to will it to work again.

Glad to see someone else followed Darren's advice for that day. It's the only advice of his that I've followed, but at least it's a start.

I photographed one of these girls a couple of weeks ago but at the time I didn't know who she was. Still don't really – Taiwanese female celebs seem to change by the week and they all have the same "look".

    • http://www.filination.com/blog/ Fili An

Cfimages – you get to photograph these girls? and take photos of Oasis up close and in person? Dear Mother of God, some people get all the luck in the world. ^_^
      Honestly, I'm jealous.

(How are you liking this Intense Debate thingy?)

It's a tough job but someone's got to do it. Photographing another model next week, weather permitting (it's an outdoor shoot that we've had to postpone twice already), although she's African-American not Taiwanese.

Intense Debate – love it. It makes commenting much easier.

          cfimages – you're my hero. ^_^

Seriously, I've always wanted to know more about photography, but the insane costs of equipment, how heavy the whole thing is, and the fact that nowadays everybody's into it kind of puts me off the whole thing. You are among the selected few that have managed, somehow – not sure how, to turn this into a livable profession. I've seen quite a few talented folks who have invested alot of their lives and finances into it and are still struggling to make their way (you probably know Tainan's Garret).

Ha! I'm still giggling over your comment to MT. What do I have to do to get him to leave a comment on My Several Worlds? Somehow, I think a post on Taiwan's Hottest Guys isn't going to bring him running. ;-)

I've been seriously lacking in the Taiwanese culture department lately. A bad knee has laid me up for the month and I'm staying close to home. However, you'll be the first to know when I find something of interest. Thanks to you, I'm starting to get the hang of WordPress. You're still my favorite tech guy! BTW, I'm really digging your HK posts. I know you miss Taiwan (and Taiwan misses you), but I, for one, am glad that you're opening up my world a bit more!

PS> I'm a big fan of Intense Debate, too.

Carrie – Glad to hear things are working out with WordPress (love what you did with your blog, looks very professional) although you seem to be running from one health incident to the other? Is that Taiwan related or just bad luck?

Hopefully, will keep having interesting stuff 'round this parts to write about.

Why do many Chinese men and woman take Western first names?
I know the obvious answer: They are easier for Westerners to say and remember. Japanese, on the other hand rarely take a Western name.
I lived in Japan for 4 years but do not have the same understanding of Chinese culture.

Apart from Elva Hsiao (such a bad picture!) I think you’ve picked pretty ugly ones actually! There are far prettier celebrities in Taiwan, Jolin Tsai – eugh!

I hate to sound racist, but Asians and even my dad (who is white) says the same. White men always seem to pick ugly Asians – they can’t differentiate between ugly and attractive ones.

Sorry, but these girls are far from “beauties”. No offense meant.

Why don't you make voting for it? :)

You missed Genie Cho :) Hmm.. and Rainie…. ? :/ Why not take like Joanne Zeng or someone instead? :) But to each for his own. Will probably have to go with Patty, liked her in Sweet Relationship. But that picture you got there really doesn't do her justice. :(
