Taiwan’s best travel spots - What do you think are the top attractions in Taiwan? In the time that I’ve been in Taiwan I’ve had the chance to travel to many gorgeous places in Taiwan. I believe Taiwan has alot to offer with special beauty, unique culture and style. It often is be a bit surprising to some of my friends and family given the general stereotype and just how small Taiwan is.

So, I’d like to ask you, blog readers, what you think are Taiwan’s best places to visit. What are Taiwan’s top attractions?

If you had all the time and money you want and could choose, say, 5 places to go to in Taiwan, where would you choose to go visit?

    I would say:
    *Wang-an Island in the Pescadores/Penghu
*Orchid Island (Lanyu; or Ponso No Tao in the local Tao/Yami language)
*Siyu and some other remote islands in Pescadores (haven’t been to but there are a few I )
*upstram Tahan (Dahan) River (a tributary of Tamsui River), I don’t exactly know, but after the Shihmen resevoir deep inside the mts.
*Nanya coast in the north-eastern corner of the island (I think is within the Rueifang town), only problem is the crazy trucks
*Little Quemoy (Shiao Jinmen), as far as I know, it preserve many Min-nan villages.
well, there are many other great places to go (and sadly every place has it’s pro’s and con’s)

Luc Ong – that’s a terrific list. I haven’t been to most of those. Thanks!

i think Hualien ( and maybe Taiton?), and Jade moutain, the central cross Island high way.
Pong-hu, esp now I really miss some ‘tropical sea’ flavor.
in this case, Kending shoud be put in.
i think Tainan should be one as well..
o, that would be, the east coast, the central cross, pong-hu, kending and tainan.
but the north cross is actually good as well.. and some Hakka villages.. Nantou.
