26 Oct, 2008 in East coast by Fili An Tags: east coast; sixty stone mountain; Taiwan; travel;

After completing the drive from Tainan through Paolai, Mei Shan and the beautiful mountain road I arrived at the east coast. The valley stretching out from the high mountains of central Taiwan to the mountains of the east coast was absolutely breath taking. The views I’ve seen there were more beautiful than anything I’ve seen before in Taiwan, and compete with some of the most spectacular scenery I’ve seen anywhere in the world. I’ll start off with my personal favorite – the sixty stone mountain.

Those next ones felt like the heavens shining down on earth…

Even more beautiful were the views from above the clouds…

The mountain itself was covered by blooming lilies, the local specialty.

    it seems that u really enjoy "Taiwan".
    and u almost travelled more places than i did.
    have u ever been to Naotou?
    that's my home town, maybe next time u should go there.
    the mountain is quite beautiful....
  • Everyone - Thanks guys, that's nice to hear. It was beautiful over there, I highly recommend it.

    Chloris - the whole drive was exactly three days, and I felt it was in a bit of a rush. I'd say, if you have a week for the east coast - that would be perfect.
    Sarah - glad you came for a visit :)
