Expat English language Blogs in Taiwan continued

This is the second part of an introduction lecture about Taiwan’s English language blogs in Taiwan and foreigner perspective about all that’s Taiwanese. First part was “Taiwan’s English Blogosphere - Introducing Expat Bloggers to local Taiwanese”.

Expat English language Blogs in Taiwan continued It looks much better when not embedded, download it here. Pictures in the presentation all lead to the blogs and websites they’re about.

I presented some quick strange videos, explained a few things about blogging and Expats in Taiwan, and attempted to encourage the Taiwanese to share their lives with us in English. If they’re not into blogging – then maybe I at least ignited some curiosity for them to want to come see Taiwan through our eyes.

Open a blog, share your thoughts with the world (and don’t forget to let me know about it :) ).

    I also attended this activity.
Thanks for sharing English blogs which are related to Taiwan. I think it’s a great way to learn some English words to describe Taiwan.
It’s also fascinating to read foreigners’ opinions about Taiwan and how they perceive Taiwan. I also read some blogs. I don’t know why most are about traveling and politics, maybe foreigners like to talk about these two issues.

yijung - I’m glad you liked it. I think that the blogosphere includes many types of blogs, but perhaps it’s the travel and politics ones that get more attention. Would be happy to hear what blogs you think are most interesting to you…

Three blogs that I still keep reading are “The view from Taiwan”, “David on Formosa” and your blog. I think these three blogs are very interesting. I have added some blogs into my favorite list before but then I don’t keep reading them because some of them are too difficult to read, maybe only those who have same experiences or culture backgroud can understand it easily.

I like blogs which are well organized and have some photos within articles.

yijung - that’s a nice compliment, thanks, although I must say I find most of Michael’s posts are very heavy readings and if you could follow those through then you’re doing very well :)

Do you also read Taiwanese blogs? which ones?
