A few weeks ago I went to visit Taichung, and saw a few cool spots. Visiting Taichung’s Taiwan Arts Museum with Europe st. and the Taichung Folk Park there were a few other spots I didn’t mention which I thought were pretty neat.

Taichung hosts one of the largest laughing Buddhas. It’s next to a temple in what seems like an ordinary urban area. A nice surprise to come across while riding the scooter…

This is just how big it is :

Two cool spots to hang out at are the Art Street which is a bit far away from central Taichung but next to one of the local universities…

and Jing Ming, where the original “Bubble Tea” is said to be invented (by the restaurant just on the left when you enter the street) :P

Tainan mayor – please take a close look … A quiet wide street with no cars or scooters, just people shopping or sitting down sipping coffee listening to music, how brilliant is that ? ;)
