Taiwan’s English Blogosphere : Introducing Expat Bloggers to the Taiwanese Today, I gave a one hour lecture to a room full of NCKU Taiwanese students. The topic I was asked to talk about was “Taiwan’s English language Blogosphere”.

Following is the presentation I ended up with

It looks much better when not embedded, download it here.

I gave an overview of some interesting blogs and bloggers I know in Taiwan that I think local Taiwanese would find interesting to read.

This presentation was the first part of a two session lecture. Second part will probably follow next week.

  • bowia - I'm glad you found that interesting. As for your questions -

    1. There are many things about Chinese culture that I find fascinating, and to me - there's a special kind of beauty in many aspects of this culture. It's something I can't quite explain.
    2. Wikipedia does a good job with the definition - "Blogosphere is a collective term encompassing all blogs and their interconnections. It is the perception that blogs exist together as a connected community or as a social network." The connection between blogs in a specific topic that forms a community.

There's going to be a second part next Tuesday, you're welcome to come again.
