Feeling hungry late at night? happens to me alot, but luckily – there’s a lot of street food in Taiwan. Anybody for some 小吃? The ones I really like are the “food trucks”. At the street corner surrounding NCKU and important interjections in Tainan are a few semi-permanent food trucks that serve different types of food. This next one, with horrible night photography (let’s call it “artistic”), is suppose to be Japanese style.

The street chef will attend to your every culinary need. So, what’s it going to be ?

Boiled stuff in a soup?

Or maybe you want it BBQed?

A 100NT$ with this truck will most likely calm down even a very hungry person (like me).

    Interesting~
I’m sure this one is the most special “food truck”
I only remember maybe there were some small “food carts” in Kaoushiung during my childhood…

You ‘re lucky to “have ” this one ….and it makes me hungry now….

Nicole – you know, we actually have quite a lot of those. In that corner alone, there are two Japanese style trucks of the same type. Maybe it’s because of the university, I’m not sure. A few more include boiling all sorts of stuff. Very convenient. ;)
