This time it’s more about the Taiwanese male pop stars, which I got to know thanks to my northern Taiwan friend.
Those sensitive to appearances may notice straight away that A-Yue (張震嶽 – Zhāng Zhènyùe) is Aboriginal. I believe he’s most famous in Taiwan for a song almost 10 years old now called “love me, don’t go” (愛我別走 – Ai4 Wo3 Bie2 Zou3) :
He seemed to have moved between genres of music. This next song – 思念是一種病 – is of a somewhat different style :
And then finally go Taiwanese style “Hiphop” with this next song that I hear quite often with a title I naturally agree with – “我愛臺媒 – wo3 ai4 tai2 mei3 – I love Taiwanese girls” (although it’d be nice if the rest of the sentence – 臺妹愛我 – would hold as well
).
