The closest equivalent in English is obviously "every cloud has a silver lining", but I like the fact that the Chinese version is neutral. It's not supposed to be either optimistic or pessimistic because good may come of it or bad may come of it and in the present we have no way of knowing. It’s a good story/ idiom.
