Taiwan’s representation in the world’s most prolific bloggers list

Just wanted to point a small amazing fact I came across the other week. When working with Michael on something technical I became aware of the simple fact that since beginning of 2005 Michael Turton has written over 2800 posts and has over 10000 comments on his blog averaging over two posts a day - any day.

imageDon’t think  it’s impressive? Check out this Wiki webpage detailing the most prolific bloggers in the world. Many of them are paid bloggers blogging for a living (e.g. Bill Belew), some of them make huge sums of money off their blogs with guest bloggers (e.g. Problogger.net), some are group blogs (e.g. Lifehacker). Michael easily fits into the top 30 and while others have been blogging for ages, he’s been only running for ~3 years.

I’d say that all taken into account, we’ve got one of the world’s most imageprolific bloggers in our little Taiwan blogosphere. Isn’t that a nice little detail you’d like to know? Respect.

I enjoy his blog a lot. He has done quite a bit for Taiwan.

I hit upon a similar stat when reworking The Peking Duck - Richard’s got 4,500+ posts and near 70,000 comments. Crazy.

As it also used to be out of Taiwan, one has to ask, what’s with you Taiwan bloggers? Life so relaxed there you have more time for blogging? haha.

Ryan - yeah, Peking Duck does a terrific job in raising a discussion and I’m not sure exactly how he does that. The amount and length of posts of both Peking and The View is quite remarkable, especially considering the fact that most posts are more than the average “I woke up, got out of bed” kind.

Great job with that blog upgrade.
