A-Mei Zhang Hui 張惠妹 : Aboriginal Taiwanese Mando-Pop music

A-Mei is something slightly different. An Aboriginal Taiwanese gifted with a great voice and unique charm, she’s made her way up to become one of Taiwan’s best known Mando-Pop super-stars.
A-mei (阿妹; ā mèi), also known by her birth name Zhang Huimei or as Chang Hui-mei (張惠妹, 张惠妹; Zhāng Huìmèi), is an aboriginal Taiwanese pop singer and occasional songwriter. She is also known by her aboriginal name 古歷來·阿蜜特 (Gulilai Amit). She was born in the rugged mountains of eastern Taiwan and is the third youngest of nine siblings. A-mei made her debut in the world of music in 1996, achieving instant mega commercial success. She has frequently been called a diva of the Mandarin pop music scene, as well as the “Pride of Taiwan”. She has won numerous music awards and become one of the biggest music sensations within the pop music pantheon of the Mandarin-speaking world. (Wikipedia)
I do like her songs… most of them are great for KTV. My favorites, obviously, are the slower ones.

i think her song ‘姊妹’ is also quite classic.. i remeber she became big hits after that 姊妹song. but those was old when im in high school. haha
The thing I’m not really sure about is whether she’s still putting out albums… is she?
