Up on the mountain, overlooking the city of Taipei from the south, the temples are gorgeous and the view is absolutely breath-taking. I could spend ages in a place like that, just resting down with something to drink, looking out and watching the people.
You can use the new Maokong Gondola, another one of those impressive projects Taiwanese usually doesn’t seem to think much of, but I got there by bus and climbed the big steps to the first temple in the 4-5 temples that are up there.
Soon enough, on the top, beauty emerges:

Moving on to the other temples …
I miss mountains and fresh air, couldn’t get enough of what’s there. I love it how there are so many different things to see and do in Taipei…
