It’s strange, but it seems that fiLi’s world was nominated for the Israeli Blog Award in the “Best Large Israeli Blog” category. Best? large? (… Israeli?
)
What’s interesting is that the English Israel blogosphere, which I know a little through the Israeli version of Chinalyst, has always been about Israeli politics - which is something I often try and stay away from. Most English blogs on Israel are political, usually tending towards the right wing ideology and are written by Jews around the world who’re interested in Israel. It’s quite rare to find native Israelis writing in English, and about something that’s not either IT or politics.
In any case, not many Israelis read this blog, and those who do probably do so either because they’re Asiaholics like me or they know me personally. I have a strong feeling I’ll end up last

I’m also one to stay away from politics for the most part. I know that a large portion of blogging has always been devoted to it, but my favorites have usually dealt with observations about life. Sites where I can learn about foreign languages or technology are always great, too.
Out of curiosity, do you know of any blogs by foreigners in Israel that talk about language learning and culture? Something like an Israeli version of Sinosplice?

Hmmm… actually, I don’t know many, but good blogs about Israeli culture and life in English are http://www.israelity.com/ and http://www.israellycool.com/. Their blogroll also has other leading Israel-related probloggers.

I’m a mainland Chinese, have been reading your blog for more than half an year, but never pop up anything even after your article how to outrage a Chinese or sth like that
I like your blog, it’s really helpful for me to learn Israeli mentality. Very much appreciated to your work, keep going on dude
One more thing, if you can read Simplified Chinese, would like to introduce you several blogs, specially from 2 Chinese professors who are living in Israel for more than 10 years I think. They are more than bravo!

Thank you for your kind words. They mean a lot.
I would love to read the Chinese professors’ blogs, and maybe even meet with them. That would be great! You can either comment about those here or contact me.

After reading his articles about conflicts between Israel and Palestine and chaos in Middle East, can only think of one word “醍醐灌顶“
