Fili’s world

Two years ago today, I left Israel and set off to Asia in what has probably been the most important decision of my life. That’s also when I started this blog and detailed my life across Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Singapore, HK, and Taiwan.

It was a year ago that I left Asia and came back west. That’s when this blog took a turn into something a bit different, describing my passion for Asia and Chinese/Taiwanese culture, as well as my perspective on how those are represented in the west.

2 years, so different from each other, and yet both years have changed and influenced me in ways I can’t even begin to describe. Some nights, as I lay down to sleep I have endless flashbacks of the amazing time I had in Asia and the people that I’ve met. Some nights, my mind likes to go over all the new things I’ve been involved with in the past year and the new friends that I’ve made along the way. Other nights, I can’t even fall asleep, as I feel something burning so strongly inside me that I just can’t turn off.

So many hopes, so many dreams. Hopefully, the next year will be the year that it will all come true.
