In recent days I've been guiltily enjoying a silly Israeli TV commercial for a brand of coffee which features a white male airline pilot waking up in a hotel in some unspecified Asian country and asking for "hot water, in a glass" -- prompting the two bumbling, hotel workers who don't understand him to go scurrying off. First they fetch him a bath, then eye glasses, then finally... well I wont spoil the punchline. It projects a kind of superior attitude - i.e. "these backward Asians dont know what coffee is, ho ho!" But I still like the ad anyway.
