A Taiwanese Blog on Israel

Israeli blogs about Chinese culture and life in China/Taiwan are hard to find, yet what’s even harder to find is a Chinese/Taiwanese blog about Israeli culture and life in Israel. Up till a week ago I haven’t been able to find any blogs at all, and writing an Israeli perspective blog about China/Taiwan I’ve always wondered what such a blog would be like. But ,at last, I’m happy to announce that I finally found one.

Meet Galandruby, a Taiwanese girl with an Israeli boyfriend, who’s been recently writing about her life in Israel. The blog is obviously in Chinese, which makes it quite difficult for me to follow even with BabelFish and the Firefox Chinese translation tools, but with the help of Vanina I was able to understand some of her observations about her experiences in Israel and relationship with her Israeli boyfriend.

Looking around, the first thing that you notice are the lovely food pictures from various visits to restaurants around Israel and her cooking sessions attempting various recipes. Galanruby tells about small details from her everyday life, and I find it an extremely interesting cultural and personal read about the Taiwanese perspective on Israelis (as well as a great exercise in Chinese).
