Blogday 2006, a day devoted to bloggers across the world (but blocked in China
), was celebrated two days ago with most bloggers referring to 5 blogs. There were some weird projects going on, like the 24 hour blogging, and all-in-all it was an interesting online event.
`They gave it to me — for an un-birthday present.'
`I beg your pardon?' Alice said with a puzzled air.
`I'm not offended,' said Humpty Dumpty.
`I mean, what is an un-birthday present?'
`A present given when it isn't your birthday, of course.'
Alice considered a little. `I like birthday presents best,' she said at last.
`You don't know what you're talking about!' cried Humpty Dumpty. `How many days are there in a year?'
`Three hundred and sixty-five,' said Alice.
`And how many birthdays have you?'
`One.'
`And if you take one from three hundred and sixty-five what remains?'
`Three hundred and sixty-four, of course.' …
‘– and that shows that there are three hundred and sixty-four days when you might get un-birthday presents –' … `And only one for birthday presents, you know. There's glory for you!'
For us simple folks – everyday is an unblogday, so… on this un-blogday, I'll give my own irrelevant blog recommendations :
Asian related :
Technology related :
Thanks to Omer's Israeli Security-Log for, as far as I know, my only Blogday 2006 mention. He's one of the very few reads available in Hebrew about IT security.
And a collection of other active blogs mentioned on this blog recently which are worth a quick re-mentioning (all somehow Asia-related) :
