You’re a Chinese student at a far away expensive land like the UK and you’re completely broke. You sill don’t know English that well, you’re still working on your degree and you’ve had enough of serving people in fast-food chains and cleaning dishes in restaurants. All you have to work with …

UK Carnival : a big celebration of humankind

"The Notting Hill Carnival is an annual event which takes place in Notting Hill, London, England each August, over three days (a weekend and a bank holiday). It is led by members of the Caribbean population, many of whom have lived in the area since the 1950s. The carnival attracts up to 1.5 million people, making it the largest street festival in Europe. China : Sex, Pride and a bit about Israel

The one blog that's been on the top blogs list in the China Blog List for a long time now is "Sex and Shanghai". One big happy Hebrew speaking family. -  As the language is shared among more nationalities, it becomes more complicated. When traveling around Asia, I've had …

Asian related quick-links : August 25th

This post will include some quick links to Asian related interesting stories that I found on the web recently. It's a trendy thing lately, linking, and it's the least I could do to show my appreciation for the interesting things that I find in the blogs that I read almost everyday : Holly, from the Taiwan Chronicles, mentions the Chinese strange phenomenon of having strippers in funerals . Don't get it? neither do I… but the Shanghaiist will clear it up for you. Simon World wrote about Travelers' Tales' analysis of the Chinese contribution to Asian economies. Does the Chinese have something special about them that drives the …
