It’s a bit embarrassing really how little I know my old neighborhood. On the way back from today’s lunch break at Zigmond’s with a good friend and the over-energetic funny-as-hell Moroccan chef, I came across this hidden 2000+ year old tomb from the Hasmonean Jewish-rule period which I passed next to at least a hundred times without noticing. No big signs, no tourists coming to appreciate the wonder, just a small trail leading up and a very quiet garden that might occupy a few dogwalkers late at night.

There’s a small piece of Jerusalem for you.

  • It is, isn't it? I feel like a tourist here. It's very strange.
  • Beautiful. I didn't expect it to be so green. It also looks so serene and orderly.
