(My TV doesn't reach beyond a 100 to get to the BBC channel :P)
"… A highly controversial person in the Arab-Israeli relations, a decorated war hero by Israeli standards… yadiyadiya". Please, not another politically correct phrased debate about Israel and Ariel Sharon. Why is it that anytime I open up CNN while I'm in Asia - Israel and Ariel Sharon keep popping up. Ask a Taiwanese about Spain or Germany and you've got a big probability that he wouldn't have a clue, ask him about Israel and he would probably have strong opinions about the whole Israeli-Palestinian relations. You don't hear any news about Canada, Australia or Madagasker, nothing about the big powerful European countries, so why !#$#%^& Israel?!
"Is currently going through surgery…". Oh, right, that might be a good reason for a CNN headline. Just when Israel thinks that everything is going okay and that future is well defined and stable with Sharon's new party definitely winning over the next election something like this has to happen. The woman upstairs has got to be a bit bored since she keeps toying with that tiny state…
You know what? I don't even wanna know how the political scene is going to develop. I'm a bit tired, and apart from hoping that Sharon will be okay I really don't want to know anything till the whole political issue is over (yet, I have a feeling that every Taiwanese I'll meet on the street will inform me of what's going on regardless).
