Yeah, it’s raining again, so I’m on the internet once more. Lot’s of internet usage in Dalat, since the cold and rain gets me stuck in the hotel more that I would like to. Lot’s of coffee, tea and hot lemon juice too - for all those times I get stuck at the Ca-Phe places.
Hmm… so today I got this quote by email from someone I travelled with who’s in Thailand. Usually, I auto delete this stuff but this one seemed interesting regarding the whole Cao Dai experience I had and wrote about - and from a powerful source, no less (I bet I could find similar teaching in the Bible and New teastement, but not as straight forward) .
“Do not believe anything because it is said by an authority or it is said to come from Angels or from Gods or from an inspired source. Believe it only if you have experienced it in your own heart and mind and body and found it to be true. Work out your own path through this world with diligence. ”
- Buddha -
I love self contradictions, they’re like a mind-job. If buddha, as an inspired source, calls to believe him that we should not believe an inspired source - then what “should” we believe? I bet even Buddha realized the irony in that one… but I have respect for that kind of inspired teachings, even though they sometimes tend to sound like a Happy-Birthday greeting card cliche’.

And… still don’t have my passport. I could use Buddha’s directions right now…
