The Gilad-hiker Guide to the Thai-laxy : Thai’s English Vocabulary (Part 1)

.

  • “Hallo!” means “Hey, you rich western tourist, you…”
  • “Hey, Taxi!!” / “Taxi!!!!” means “If you don’t get on my taxi or scream back that you don’t want one then I’ll just have to shout it out louder for you…”
  • “Yes, yes” (with a big smile) means “I have no idea what you just said, but it sounds very funny, do it again”.
  • “Where you go?” - they don’t realize just how intrusive that question is, and they insist on an answer. To this question I usually reply “home” or “7Eleven”, for some strange reason - it seems to confuse them.
  • “Same, same” means “It could be the same, but it’s different”.
  • “You want?” means “You know you want it/me, I’m just waiting for you to admit it”.
  • “Me like you” means “I’m a lady boy, I have a d#ck, want some?”.
  • “Well-cum” / “You come inside, you cum inside” - That’s what the girls really mean when they ask you to step inside.
  • “@#$ Baht” / “Dingdongdangdungbing Baht” – Yeah, I have no idea how much that is either, but it’s usually 10 times what you thought it would be.
